Early Years Pupil Premium Grant (EYPPG) and Deprivation Funding

Pupil Premium and Deprivation Funding 2022-23

In 2022-23 the level of the premium is 60p per hour, per pupil eligible.  Eligible pupils include families on low incomes and those pupils who are ‘Children Looked After’ (CLA) and those pupils who have been adopted / have special guardianship from care. Based upon last year’s figures, this year we anticipate funding to be in the region of £7,000.

Funding is received in arrears for the previous term and we are free to spend the Pupil Premium as we see fit. However, we will be held accountable for how we have used the additional funding to support pupils from low-income families. We have published online information about how we intend to use the Premium. This will ensure that parents and other stakeholders are made fully aware of the attainment of pupils covered by the Premium and the extra support that they receive.

In addition to Pupil Premium funding the nursery will receive deprivation funding of £1.02 per hour per child eligible for the EYPPG.  This year we anticipate the funding to be approximately £9,000.
